STRATIS Garners Global Interest as MultiFamily IoT Leader
After successfully installing 100,000 units, STRATIS kicks off world domination tour at Smart Cities Conference in Asia, followed by speaking and exhibiting at smart cities events in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA, PA — September 2016
STRATIS, a Philadelphia based Internet of Things (IoT) SaaS platform has been gaining international attention since its launch in June 2015. The company celebrated 100,000 units installed in MultiFamily and Campus communities late this summer. CEO Felicite Moorman was invited to keynote at the Smart Cities Innovation Summit Asia in Korea. Next, Moorman is booked to present at the prestigious Union League in Philadelphia covering the topic “Innovation, Ten Million People, and a Warmer Planet.” The team at STRATIS then heads to the Nation’s capital to take part in Innovation Alley at Smart Cities Week. Capping off the month of September, STRATIS is honored as a Stellar Startup Finalist back home in Philadelphia.
The milestone of 100,000 units cements STRATIS as the clear leader in access, energy, and automation management and control platforms for commercial residential.
“With 100,000 units installed around the country, STRATIS proves that smart technology provides real and attainable solutions for the daily headaches of managing multifamily properties,” said Joan Soskin, COO and VP of Product at STRATIS. “It’s no coincidence that the world is taking notice. We believe that the Smart City will start at home, and we want to show everyone how we’re bringing that vision to life today.”
City planners and government officials across the globe are looking at STRATIS as the model for the smart start to Smart Cities. CEO Felicite Moorman recently spent the week in South Korea at the Smart Cities Innovation Summit. She keynoted a session covering IoT for MultiFamily Buildings, spoke at another session about Smart Energy Management, and exhibited at the conference.
“What we identified as a neglected market in the United States, commercial residential technology applications, is further exemplified abroad. Worldwide, efficiencies, from energy to operating costs, are not merely beneficial, but government mandates and societal expectations. We’ve learned so much from global Smart Cities Leaders in such a short time. We expect our trajectory of adoption to increase dramatically,” Moorman said.
After returning from Asia, Moorman will be a featured speaker for the Urban Land Institute event at the Union League in Philadelphia on a panel covering “Disruptive Technology, Ten Million People, and a Warmer Planet.” From there, the Team heads south to Washington, D.C. for Smart Cities Week, an event hosted by the Smart Cities Council. STRATIS will exhibit its groundbreaking solution in Innovation Alley.
“The MultiFamily market has changed,” Moorman said. “Residents expect smart technology as an amenity in their homes. We have simultaneously created and cornered the market, creating the standard by which access, energy, and automation platforms are judged. This is no longer theory or even pilot; this is over 100,000 units up and running on STRATIS as the smart start for Smart Cities.”
STRATIS finishes up a fantastic September as a Stellar Startup Finalist, named by the Philadelphia Media Network.
“It’s an extension of our newsroom coverage, where reporters like Diane Mastrull have been covering local entrepreneurs and their stories for years,” said Jennifer Wolf Director of Special Events, Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of The Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com.
The STRATIS access management and control platform enables property managers and staff to quickly and easily provide new and replacement credentials, maintenance and vendor access, and full audits, without ever leaving the management office. The benefits include increased security and efficiency, and the cost-savings of eliminating rekeying and replacing traditional door locks.
In addition to access management and control, STRATIS provides advanced demand response capable energy management and control. Building owners and managers can begin with either access or energy, and expand their STRATIS Sphere platform to engage additional automation modules as fits their budget and objectives. STRATIS uses wireless, pre-commissioned, rapid install hardware that reduces the amount of time and expense of installation for either new construction or retrofit.
